MMXII Born Again
Reincarnation is the return of your spirit (your soul) to a new body. In every new birth the soul grows and fuses with the zygote. The two, organism and spirit, become the beginnings of a new human(s).
Jesus called it being “born again.” Being born again is like the universe, it is not going to go away. Being born again is easy as accepting a beautiful day or enjoying a sunrise and a sunset or even a moonlit night. Tomorrow the the sun, is going to rise. The earth will age; Flowers will bloom, wither, die and then they grow again. So to do our spirits grow and age with nature and evolve together with the Universe. The soul is built to last an eternity. It is a marvelous piece of engineering.
Having grown up in the west, in western style Christianity and Catholicism, I was in introduced to Hinduism early in life, by men in white shirts who looked like mormon scientists who came to my door in the 70s. They gave me my first Gita. However, the imagery seemed strange and nothing the Church provided looked like it. But it was a beginning.
Then I remember an awful movie called the “reincarnation of Peter Proud:” and I said to myself this looks painful and I lost interest in reincarnation
Later, I came across it again, brief reincarnation teachings, but they did not penetrate like that simple verse of Jesus Christ, you must be born again. The teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit verified to me that the conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus and John Chapter 3, was about reincarnation.
This same teaching John Chapter 3 is also riddled by mysticism that does not want you to believe in reincarnation.
Many people think that reincarnation is not Christian, but it is. Better yet, it is the sum of monotheism. It is teaching captured and lost in many monotheistic circles due to the practice and teachings of unbelieving men and sorcerers and wizards who had penetrated monotheism. I know the arguments for not teaching it, but it is not something that needs to be taught by force, but teaching against it is wrong. I personally will always teach it in my own way and never deny it. The cycles of life, birth and rebirth is like the air I breath.
The words of reincarnation (the resurrection of the soul and life in the world to come). have been in Catholic liturgies for thousands of years. Before that the Parsee taught it. Jews have taught it and Egyptian monotheism made it a science calling it the afterlife and by this I do not mean heaven. The afterlife, according the Egyptians, is the next life you live after you die. However, what dominates these days in some circles is teaching about the land of the dead as opposed to reincarnation. People in Egypt once buried their love ones in common burials with spoons and bowls thinking they would need them in their next life. It was a nice gesture.
I try not to stress about reincarnation and I do not want you to stress about it either. In reincarnation exercises I used to do myself, I imagined myself once being an ordinary cobbler and a maker of shoes in some small village in England and I left it that. My reasoning was if reincarnation is an institution of God, it will cure problems of the “ego” not enhance them.
